Sony Notebook & HP / Vivienne Tam Netbooks

Hubby was thinking of getting a new laptop / netbook, and was doing some research last week. The thing he had on his mind was the Sony Vaio P series- and admitted that it's really just for the sake of the Sony brand. We passed by the Sony store on the weekend, but after seeing the real thing, the look of the thing wasn't as appealing as he'd though, so his interest dropped... He was also interested in the Vaio W series... but on further research, found it to be too slow for his liking...

Not that I need a new laptop any time soon, but when HP & Vivienne Tam got together last year and made that red floral HP Mini, I was quite tempted to make a purchase (but I think by that time I've already for my MacAir, which I love!!!)- not because of the specs (cos I duno what they are), but just the look of it, and the colour red is also one of lucky colour.

Speaking of HP/Vivienne Tam, found out that a SECOND GENERATION (!!) of the HP & Vivienne Tam netbook was revealed during this year's NY Fashion Week in Bryant Park. Apparently out first quarter of 2010. Looks pretty chic huh, but definitely won't come cheap... Pics below.

Steak Dinner at home

It's been a while since we've had some home-cooked steak... and after work today, hubby decided to stop by Coles to get some steak for dinner.

It's been that long since we last bought steak home, that when we got to the fridge area, we were struggling to remember the cut of meat that we once had probably like 3 times a week.... Although our gut feeling tells us it's rib eye, we weren't able to see any rib eyes on the shelves... and finally settled with this scotch fillet steak which looks like rib eye (I thought to myself... maybe they've just had a name change...).

Ta-da... hubby's wonderfully cooked steak (I love how he so effortlessly makes those grill pattern on the steak, looks so professional!):-

Compared to the rib eyes that we used to be able to buy easily from Coles, the meat of this scotch fillet steak still smells good when cooked, but the meat itself is not as tender as rib eyes...

Hopefully we will see those rib eyes make their way back to our local Coles...

More Aveda

I was trying the resist the temptation of buying more aveda products… I tried... and failed.

Went back to the salon on Saturday and bought the shampoo and conditioner set. Tried them yesterday, and they are REALLY GOOD, all those natural and organic stuffs can be felt INSTANTLY, no wonder they are so well known for their hair products (it's worth the bucks!).

Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother

When I was at Tribe (an Aveda Lifestyle Salon) last weekend, the guy put some of those style-prep smoother thing on my hair and I instantly noticed the difference... real smooth, no fizz, and smells awesomely natural. But when I washed my hair, all these were GONE.

So after a few good days of thinking, I decided to get this little goodie today. I first checked it out on Strawberrynet, but found out when I got to the Aveda shop at QVB, that this is actually cheaper in the store than on the net.... interesting.

Next on my list will be their shampoo & conditioner... but lemme use up the ones I have at home first.
